    A Look at American Inequality

    The following graphs look at the rise of income inequality and wealth disparity in the United States from the mid 20th century onwards. The following line charts show the income and wealth of certain demographics in the United States. From 1980’s to 2016 the amount of income for minorities has lagged severely. During this time, income inequality by quartile also increasing leaving the lowest segment with a smaller portion with the top 5% gain in their portion.

Want to know why? It is the first time these productions are going to be a staged in the United States! Dame Smythe’s dramatic one-act opera Fête Galante from 1923 is receiving its first fully staged performances in the United States with this production, sharing the program with Malipiero’s 1925 comedy, The False Harlequin.
